Another great outing to Clooney-Quin

On 16th June the Mágh Cuilinn U14 panel travelled to Clooney/Quin to defend the title they had won in 2011. Teams that took part this year were Clooney Quin (Clare), Ballina (Tipperary), Eire Og (Clare) and Moycullen.Mágh Cuilinn were beaten by Clooney Quin in the first round robin match and earned a draw in a thrilling match versus Ballina. Next up were Eire Og of Clare and Mágh Cuilinn needed to secure a high scoring victory to have a chance of making the Cup Final. Mágh Cuilinn won this match but failed to make the Cup final as Ballina of Tipperary had a better scoring difference than Mágh Cuilinn of 2 points over the three matches.

Mágh Cuilinn played Eire Og in the Shield Final and won the Shield with a great display of Hurling.

Clooney Quin defeated Ballina in the Cup Final.

A great day was had by all and the hospitality of the Clooney Quin Club was outstanding.
