Mágh Cuilinn must count themselves very unlucky to lose out in the U13 Championship. While finishing level on points with Mullagh and ahead on goal difference, the head to head result meant Mullagh went through without having to complete their fixture against Ballinderreen.

The Juvenile Board should address the situation where games are not played on schedule and out of sequence rendering some fixures redundant. Had the draw been kept in sequence and the final games been played simultaneously with the previous results the same, all three of final round of games would have impacted the final result of the group. It also resulted in a rush of games in the space of a week

The crucial result was the Mullagh game where Mágh Cuilinn went down by a single goal. The grass in Renmore was very long for this game, which was difficult for both teams. Mágh Cuilinn did finish on a high with comfortable victory over Gort.

Mullagh were beaten in the quarter final by Mountbellew Moylough, who also beat Kiltormer in the semi final. Killimor were the eventual champions though as Mountbellew Moylough came up short in the final.

The Mágh Cuilinn U13 panel for 2012 was Dean Greally, Michéal Joyce, Cillian Clancy, Andrew McDonagh, Ceillan Leonard, Tom O'Connor, Shane Clancy, Daire Davoren, Aaron Connell, Sean Barrett, Joseph Lydon, Fionn McDonagh, Tim McDonagh, Evan Kenny, Alan Carr, Oran McLoughlin, Glen Pagett, Neil Mulcahy, Cillian Davoren, Cian Folan, Andrew Power
