Intermediate Hurling Championship Groups 2014

The draws for the Intermediate Championship group stages were made last night. Mágh Cuilinn's group has four teams who were victorious at the first attempt. 2008 champions Cappataggle won a controversial quarter final against Mágh Cuilinn on the way to that title and Mágh Cuilinn reversed the result in the semi-final of their Championship win in 2011. Kilconieron won the replay of their drawn quarter final with Magh Cuilinn in 2009. Oranmore-Maree games have always been tightly contested with Tomás Higgins last minute goal giving Mágh Cuilinn a one point victory in the 2009 preliminary quarter final.

The first tie will take place in Clarinbridge on Sunday 25th May against Kilconieron at 3.30pm. The game is preceded by a Group A game featuring Kilbeacanty. Before that the teams meet in Junior B Championship on Saturday 17th May in Ballyloughane at 7pm in a repeat of the 2013 Shield final.
