Post date: Dec 10, 2011 7:20:57 PM

A recent meeting of CIMC decided to proceed with a number of events in the coming weeks:

On Wednesday, December 21st, our victorious Intermediate team will be presented with copies of a double DVD to include both Intermediate County and Connacht Finals, including various aftermatch interviews. Copies of the double DVD will be available for sale at €25.00 each and can be ordered from now from secretary.moycullenhurling.galway@gaa.ie or by text to 086 8492228. If you propose sending DVDs to the US please specify US format. The launch of the DVDs will take place at the Forge on the 21st at 8.30pm. The Forge are sponsoring the team's copies of the DVD. It is hoped that a 2012 commemortive calendar featuring some of the stunning photos of recent events and listing the club schedule for the year will also be available.

The planned date for the Annual General Meeting of Cumann Iománaíocht Máigh Cuilinn is Sunday January 8th 2012 at Baile Doite. The AGM will start at 3pm and it is scheduled to end at 6pm. The AGM will incorporate both Juvenile and Adult clubs, rather than separate AGMs as in previous years. It the intention that nominations for all positions will be in place prior to the meeting and that seeking nominations on the night can be avoided. Membership subscriptions for 2012 will be accepted from now for 2012 and we would like to thank those who have already returned theirs. Anthony Walsh and Morgan Darcy have undertaken to ensure the venue is adequately heated for the AGM and in fact Anthony has already been in contact to verify the heating system is working.

On Saturday 14th January 2012, the club will be holding a Victory Celebration Dinner at the Galway Bay Hotel. The event will see the team presented with both County and Connacht medals and should be a unique event in the history of the club. Tickets are €30 per person and the capacity is 270 not including special guests. A pre-dinner red carpet reception begins at 6.30pm, will feature mulled wine/tea/coffee/chocolate fountain and guests can view a slideshow of unpublished photos from our recent adventures. Dinner is at 7.30pm and guests are asked to be prompt as the presentations mean there will be a lot to get through. Also some new video vignettes will be shown at intervals through the evening and you may not want to miss them. When all the formalities are completed, guests can look forward to live music followed by a disco until 2am. A full programme of events will be published in due course. The Galway Bay Hotel have advised that a special room rate of €69 is available to those attending on the night. This can be booked directly with the hotel. Tickets for the Victory Celebration will be available from the 21st December.
