While it is all quiet on the club front, it has certainly been busy with the various county teams. On Saturday, Michael Darcy was getting our county Intermediate hurlers "to the church on time" in the Gaelic Grounds, while all the Higgins were there to cheer on their cousin, Tadhg Haran. Martin Barrett and co were raising the quota of Baile Nua alumni. All were pleased to see James Skehill raise the All Ireland Intermediate trophy after a comfortable win over Cork. On Sunday, Dave, Caroline and the gang as well as Hugh and Lal Molloy were on hand for the thrilling double installment of match and extra time between Galway and Kilkenny in the All Ireland Minor semi-final. They could not be separated so next Sunday it is a repeat of the Thurles marathon. Galway/Kilkenny replay at 12pm, Tipperary/Dublin in Minor at 2pm and the big one, the All Ireland Senior semi-final, where the beaten after a replay finalists of 2012 and 2014 battle it out for the opportunity to gain redemption against Kilkenny on the first Sunday of September.
