Mágh Cuilinn take on Ahascragh-Fohenagh in Ahascragh in a season where success in the Shield competition has led to a long campaign since their opening game in the Championship against Gort on 3rd April. Yet another away draw sees them go to Ahascragh In the Minor B Shield semi-final. The team bounced back from their championship disappointment against Portumna to record two fine victories against Carnmore and Cois Fharraige.

In 2013, they played Ahascragh- Fohenagh three times at U16 level.

The initial group game in Ahascragh produced a distracted performance from Mágh Cuilinn for which they paid with a heavy defeat. Mágh Cuilinn won a subsequent playoff in Carnmore before going to beat the same opposition in the County Final in the stadium.

There are substantial changes on the Mágh Cuilinn team since then and no doubt with Ahascragh-Fohenagh as well.

We wish they the best of luck and we may yet have hope of another final before Christmas
