Mágh Cuilinn 0-11 Rahoon/Salthill 0-09

It may have been in combination with Salthill but any encounter with the arch rivals has a special interest. So it proved as underage training night in Baile Doite saw this classic encounter witnessed by a large crowd.

The game was always keenly contested and a resolute Rahoon/Salthill full back line were matched by the home contingent such that the goal was never breached throughout.

Mágh Cuilinn were trailing at halftime with Rahoon/Salthill more clinical in garnering scores. Jack Kelly though was proving ultra reliable from placed balls. At halftime, Conor Kyne although injured himself, roused the players with focused contibution and it seemed to have the effect.

Mágh Cuilinn battled back with raucous home support to draw level and in the final moments pull ahead with late substitute Caleb McGuinness getting the final score in a two point win.

The win was badly needed after the late collapse in Ahascragh against Ahascragh/Fohenagh in their opening encounter.
